Below is a ‘out of the camera‘ shot of our cat (Pistache) in the garden.
Having taken the photo I jumped into On1 Photo RAW 2018 to do some edits. I don’t like to over process my photos and the basic workflow I followed is below. I did just want to retouch some of her blemishes though and used the On1 perfect brush tool to do this.
Having checked my histogram, I decided not to do any RAW edits and focused on using On1’s Effects to improve my shot of Pistache.
I basically added some dynamic contrast to the photo, boosted the colour, sharpened her eyes, applied a vignette to draw viewers to her eyes and cropped the photo to a square format.
On1’s Photo RAW has a number of effects that are stackable and offers many combinations of adjustable photo effects to help you edit your photos and get the look that you want.
Below are the effects applied to this photo. You can vary the strength of this effects and how they are applied to the photo in a number of ways. The best thing to do is visit there site and watch some of their video tutorials on the subject.
Here is the final image
Before and After for comparison
I think its an improvement on the original, don’t you?
